Is your website ready for the launch of the new version of Google Chrome browser in July?
Google is set to take another step toward the age of Secure Internet this July with the launch of Chrome 68.
For the past few years, Google has been increasingly advocating the use of secure HTTPS technology by gradually introducing "Not Secure" warnings to more and more standard HTTP pages.
However, with the release of Chrome 68 due out on 1st July, Chrome will begin marking all HTTP sites that don't have an SSL Certificate as "Not Secure". It is expected that Mozilla Firefox will also follow Chrome in doing this at some stage.
For more information please visit the Chromium Blog A secure web is here to stay.
To put this in simple terms, if you do not use an SSL certificate for your website and your website URL is something like http://www.yourdomain.com any visitors using a Google Chrome browser will receive a warning that your website is Not Secure!
Many website hosting companies are using this fact to sell their customers SSL certificates for anything from £99 a year upwards e.g. GeoTrust SSL Certificates.
However, here at Pay Monthly Hosting, we have always been one step ahead of them by providing you with a FREE SSL Certificate as part of your Pay Monthly Hosting plan.
Please ensure that you install a FREE Lets Encrypt SSL Certificate before the deadline.
That’s just one of the reasons why we believe we are the best value for money pay monthly website hosting company in UK!
